Another Saturday is about a young teenager, Joyce, who has a
complicated relationship with her depressed mom, Dawn. Joyce does the chores and is her mom’s caretaker because she loves and wants to help her. Yet, Joyce has built up walls to protect herself from the tense and unpredictable behavior of her mom’s illness. One Saturday afternoon, Joyce lets down her guard and embraces a carefree day. When she returns home, what she
finds will change her life.
Julie graduated from CSUN in Radio-TV-Film. After graduation, she worked at the Walt Disney Studios in National Publicity for Film and then at Buena Vista International in the Promotions/Marketing Department. She is an IATSE California Studio Teacher. She continues to pursue her passion by writing, directing, and producing her first short film, Another Saturday.
Scarlett began modeling at age two and by age six, she started auditioning for television and film. She made her professional acting debut in a 2018 short film.
Rachel is an award-winning actress who's been working as a professional actor for ten years. Her ability to jump from various characters who differ drastically has allowed her to excel in the world of comedy and drama.
Aver is a television, film, and voice actor known for his work on Snake Eyes (2021), Benza English (2020) and Marvel Ultimate Alliance 3: The Black Order (2019).
James is an actor, singer, and dancer in Los Angeles. This is his first short film.
Joe's feature film, Anomalisa, premiered at the 2015 Telluride Film Festival before taking home the Grand Jury Prize at the 72nd Venice International Film Festival. It quickly gained praise for its stunning visuals and Joe’s ability to make an animated film feel like a narrative feature. Joe graduated from Columbia College Chicago, studying on the set of The Weatherman under cinematographer Phedon Papamichael, ASC, and furthered his studies in cinematography at the American Film Institute.
Natasha attended Emerson College and then received her MFA from the prestigious American Film Institute. She has worked all over the world as a freelance shooter, producer, and editor. She served as lead editor on over a dozen episodes of A&E’s Emmy-winning series Intervention and was editor on the popular Netflix shows Tidying Up With Marie Kondo and Selling Sunset.
Curtis is a composer for film and television, known for his work with Michael Giacchino. In 2023, Green co-composed the score for Shanghai Disneyland Park's newest attraction, Zootopia: Hot Pursuit, with Michael's son, Mick Giacchino.
Justin is a filmmaker based in Los Angeles. He is a practiced cinematographer and camera assistant that’s just as comfortable jumping into a large scale production as he is a moving tour bus. He has experience working on documentaries, narratives, commercials, music videos and last minute “Are you busy tomorrow?” texts.
Melanie is a cinematographer known for Quo Vadis (2020) and The Calling and Apartment 30 (2023).
